OPTEL was established in 1974 and has since then been active in the development and manufacture of laser transmission and detection equipment.
The first Free Space Optics (FSO) systems OPTICOMM were delivered in 1983.
OPTICOMM systems supply highly secure wireless
interconnections of local area networks and telecom applications
of remote buildings. Specialized systems offer connectivity
for rail-guided vehicles, cranes etc.
OPTICOMM-Video systems are employed in
security applications and supply parallel transmission
of video, audio and digital signals.
OPTEL also offers the heavy duty laser light barrier systems
HLS. They are designed to
suit applications in severe industrial environments, where
adverse conditions like dust, smoke, steam or heat prevail.
